Is anyone using to Omnibus system yet? I'm curious to know how well it works compared to the old system.

I have three Omnibus systems out. They are awesome! The operators like it because it makes the operation very intuitive... like running a 40,000 Lb. video game. The maintenance folks love it because there are 124 less electrical connections and a mile less wire, so it makes the diagnostics a lot simpler for them.

I had the opportunity to run another brand of truck with their verision of canbus technology. It is night and day. Theirs is a redundant system with limited capabilities. The Vac-Con system replaces the old system and is a stand alone situation. The new screen is head and shoulders better than the original. easy to see in the sunlight, and the color display is awesome!

In short, dont be afraid of the OmniBus system.  It is a huge value in operations and maintenance. I wont sell a truck without it!

Ok, if it messes up would I have to bring to Green Cove to get worked on or could our shop techs work on it? Also is it water proof should it rain. Thanks.

It is a common misconception that Omnibus complicates the truck. The opposite is actually true. If you bust off the joystick (waterproof)... 4 screws and a plug and you put on a new one... same with the screen... its all plug and play!
Ok, thanks for the help!
