HI ,my name is jeff and i'm a lobster fisherman from N.S. The reason why i wanted to join this group is because i'm looking to build a small vacuume that i can skid on back of my truck. I want the vac to collect fryer fat from resteraunts that i use for fuel in my boat.
what i had pictured that would work good for the job would be a sysyem like a wet/dry shop vac.the greese im collecting is usualy thick liquid on top nd the bottom is hard dry crums that can be broken up if you move it around with a stick.
i understand their is some technique involved, but asumeing i know hw to work the machine is it possible to make a small vac truck with only 10 -20 hp drive unite ad do you know of any sort of pump that i may be able to find junk that could get the job done instead of buying new equipment(would a big furnace fan make enough of a suction ?
As far as the suction don't know what diameter i should use for sucking up fryer fat but i plan to make the suction line rigid from the top of my tank that would extend out and up ,nd then turn 90 to 110degrees down to flexable hose that would be 10 feet long to reach all the resteraunts i collect from.
any info would be great, even if you think i may not want to here it.but i do know where you can get plenty of lobsters, which i also like to talk about so feel free to ask if you like to here some stories or maybe want some.
sorry about some of the misspelling and weird writing technique but my computer messedup and would'nt let me spell check.
