10' Boom!!

We did a job last week that required the evacuation of 650 yds. of sand and calcium grit materials from a pit at a large municipal water treatment plant. We used our new 11 yd Vac-Con with 3 stage fan. The key to the job was the 10' boom extension. Last year, the successful bidder had to use flex, 5 men and 2 big bore industrials.... it took them two week., We did it in one week with three men and one truck. The key was the ability to boom directle into the pit. If the boom was just a foot shorter, we'd have been using flex and cut our efficiency in half conservatively. No confined space entry, no support trucks, no additional manpower or trucks. The customer was so impressed, they are lining up additional projects for us.
